The City of Irving provided several opportunities for public input into the preparation of the original plan. The drought plan stages and requirements for the stages are similar to what was in the plan that was implemented in 1999.

The city provided opportunity for public input in the development of this drought contingency plan by the following means:
• City council meeting.

• Making the draft plan available on the city's web site, www.cityofirving.org .

• Providing a draft plan to anyone requesting a copy.
