§ 13-3. Permit required.

(a)

A person may not own, operate, administer, manage, direct, advertise, or control a childcare facility in the city without a valid permit issued by the public health and environmental services department.

(b)

The requirement for a city permit shall apply to:

(1)

Childcare facilities that are subject to licensing, listing, or registration for childcare by the state in accordance with chapter 42 of the Human Resources Code;

(2)

Parent's day out facilities operating in the city; and

(3)

City operated after school programs.
