§ 21-41. One-way streets—Designated generally.

  • Traffic shall flow only in the indicated direction on the following streets when signs are erected indicating the direction of traffic:

    Carpenter Freeway West (State Highway 183):

    (a)

    North service road, westerly, from a point approximately at the intersection of University Avenue, said point being the continuation of the southbound (west) service road of Walton Walker Boulevard, State Highway Loop 12, to the projection of the west right-of-way line of Wingren Road.

    (b)

    South service road, easterly, from the projected west right-of-way line of Britain Road, thence east along Carpenter Freeway West (State Highway 183), and John W. Carpenter Freeway (State Highway 183), to the projection of the west right-of-way line of Grauwyler Road.

    Easterly direction on the south section of State Highway 183 service road beginning at Britain Road and continuing easterly toward the Frisco Railroad tracks and following the horseshoe curve north to north service road of State Highway 183, from which point traffic shall flow one-way in a westerly direction to Wingren Road.

    From Britain Road to the west city limits except traffic shall be two-way on the hereinafter-described section of the south service road: beginning at a point in the existing north and south lines of the exit ramp from the main flow of Carpenter Freeway West (State Highway 183) eastbound approximately 215 feet east of a common abstract line between the Wm. Haley Survey, Abstract 663 and the A. M. Stiles Survey, Abstract 1318, thence continuing easterly to the point of intersection with Belt Line Road.

    Fritz Park:

    (a)

    Traffic shall flow in a southeasterly direction on 15th Street Park Drive between the eastern end of 15th Street to the park maintenance barn parking area.

    (b)

    Traffic shall flow in an easterly direction on Vilbig Road Park Drive from the intersection of Vilbig Road on the west edge of Fritz Park to the park maintenance barn parking area.

    (c)

    Traffic shall flow in a westerly direction on Jenny Kay Park Drive from the southwest end of the park maintenance barn parking lot to the intersection of Jenny Kay and Bolden Road.

    Irving Boulevard, westerly, from the intersection of East Irving Boulevard and Second Street to the intersection of West Irving Boulevard and Second Street.

    Lively Park Drive, south.

    Rochelle Boulevard:

    (a)

    One-way south and west bound in that section of the most westerly and northerly alignment of Rochelle Boulevard, a public street, between John W. Carpenter Freeway (State Highway 114) and a point of merging with the southernmost alignment of Rochelle Boulevard, said point being approximately 300 feet east of the east line of Wingren Road, except that section of Rochelle Boulevard lying between Wingren Road and Northgate shall not become one-way until thirty (30) days after the completion of Wingren Road in the Greenhills North Addition to the City of Irving.

    (b)

    One-way east and north bound in that section of the most southerly and easterly alignment of Rochelle Boulevard, a public street, between a point of division with the northern most alignment of Rochelle Boulevard, said point being approximately 300 feet east of the east line of Wingren Road, and John W. Carpenter Freeway (State Highway 114), except that section of Rochelle Boulevard lying between Wingren Road and Northgate shall not become one-way until thirty (30) days after the completion of Wingren Road in the Green hills North Addition to the City of Irving.

    Second Street, easterly, from the intersection of West Irving Boulevard and Second Street to the intersection of East Irving Boulevard and Second Street.

    Senter Park:

    (a)

    Senter Valley Street, westerly, from Senter Street to its termination at the west end of the 9th Street parking lot at a point approximately 130 feet west of Ohio Street.

    South Frontage Road of State Highway 356 shall flow in an easterly direction from Willow Creek Drive to Jamestown Drive.

    State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard):

    (a)

    East and West Service Roads of State Highway Loop 12 (also known as Walton Walker Boulevard). Traffic shall flow one-way in a northerly direction on the East Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) beginning at the intersection of the South Service Road of State Highway 114 (John W. Carpenter Freeway) and the East Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) and continuing northerly toward the north city limits line and following the horseshoe curve, which is located approximately 200 feet south of the north city limits line, in a westerly direction to the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) from which point traffic shall flow one-way in a southerly direction to the intersection of University Drive and the North Service Road of State Highway 183 (Airport Freeway), said point being the beginning of the North Service Road of State Highway 183 (Airport Freeway) in the City of Irving.

    (b)

    West and East Service Roads of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard). Traffic shall flow one-way in a southerly direction on the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) beginning at the intersection of the South Service Road of State Highway 183 (Airport Freeway) and the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) and continuing southerly to the horseshoe curve, which is located approximately 200 feet north of the C.R.I. & P. Railroad in the City of Irving, and following said curve in an easterly direction to the East Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) from which point traffic shall flow in a northerly direction to the intersection of the East Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) and the South Service Road of State Highway 183 (Airport Freeway) in the City of Irving.

    (c)

    West and East Service Roads of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard). Traffic shall flow one-way in a southerly direction on the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) beginning at the south curb line of State Highway 356 at the intersection of State Highway 356 and the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) in the City of Irving, and continuing southerly to the horseshoe curve, which is located approximately 2,500 feet north of the south city limits, and following said curve in an easterly direction to the East Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) from which point traffic shall flow in a northerly direction to the horseshoe curve, which is located approximately 200 feet south of the C.R.I. & P. Railroad in the City of Irving, and following said curve in a westerly direction to the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) from which point traffic shall flow in a southerly direction to the point of beginning at the intersection of State Highway 356 and the West Service Road of State Highway Loop 12 (Walton Walker Boulevard) in the City of Irving.
