§ 21-86. Speed to be reasonable and prudent.

  • No person shall drive a vehicle on a street in the city at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the circumstances then existing. The speed limits specified in this article, or as hereinafter established herein, shall be lawful, but any speed in excess of the limits so specified shall be prima facie evidence that the speed is not reasonable or prudent and that it is unlawful.
