§ 21-87.1. Special school zones.

  • (a)

    No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed greater than thirty (30) miles per hour in a special school zone on days when school is in session, either during hours designated as special school zone hours posted on official school zone speed limit signs located at the special school zone or when an official special school zone speed limit sign bearing a flashing amber light located at the special school zone is in operation. The areas or portions of streets designated as special school zones and names of schools for which the special school zones are created are as follows:

    (b)

    Any person violating or failing to comply with any provision of this section shall be fined upon conviction, not less than one dollar ($1.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).
