§ 21-172. Violation of promise to appear in court; appearance by counsel.

(a)
Any person wilfully violating his written promise to appear in court, given as provided in this article, is guilty of a misdemeanor, regardless of the disposition of the charge upon which he was originally arrested.
(b)
A written promise to appear in court may be complied with by an appearance by counsel.
