§ 24-50. Shooting in public parks regulated.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot an arrow from a bow or crossbow in, into or upon any public park within the city limits of the City of Irving, Texas, unless shot during an archery class sponsored and approved by the City of Irving or shot in an area designated for archery purposes by the director of parks.

    An "arrow" is defined as a long slender shaft which is the missile propelled by a bow.

    A "bow" is defined as a weapon made of a strip of wood or other elastic material, with a cord to connect the two (2) ends when bent, by means of which an arrow is propelled.
