§ 27-7. Issuance, duration, and form of identification card.

  • (a)

    An identification card applied for under this chapter shall be issued by the director after review of the application to determine compliance with this chapter, payment of the required fee, and within ten (10) business days of receipt of the application. If the director does not deny the issuance of the identification card within ten (10) business days of receipt of the application, the identification card shall be issued.

    (b)

    The identification card shall reflect the time period for which the solicitation has been permitted. The identification card expires at the end of that time period.

    (c)

    An identification card requested under this chapter for the purpose of private premises solicitation, shall be issued for the length of time requested, not to exceed ninety (90) days.

    (d)

    The director shall prescribe the form of the identification card. The following words shall be printed prominently in red on each identification card: "The issuance of this identification card is not an endorsement by the City of Irving or any of its officers or employees." Each identification card may bear an identification number which is the same as the file containing the application filed by the same applicant.
