§ 27A-121. Services.

(a)

To assure the viability of the self-insurance program the claims board may hire:

(1)

A professional risk management service may be retained as a contractor to the self-insurance liability and workers' compensation funds; or

(2)

A professional actuary service may be retained to assure the financial stability of the self-insurance liability and workers' compensation funds.

(b)

If a professional service is retained, the selection of the service shall be made by the assistant city manager/finance subject to the approval of the city council.
