§ 34A-1. Title; policy and purpose.

This chapter may be known and cited as the Right-of-Way Management Ordinance for the City of Irving, Texas.

The City of Irving enacts these regulations to manage the public right-of-way, to ensure public health, safety and welfare and to promote the most efficient use of the right of way first and foremost for the traveling public, and also for water and sewer uses and for utility uses designed to benefit the citizens of the City of Irving, including such uses as have been recognized in statutory and common law in the State of Texas.
