§ 37-42. City-wide service required.

A holder of a franchise must:
(1)

Provide taxicab service to the general public city-wide;

(2)

Answer each call for service inside the city as soon as practicable, and if the service cannot be rendered, inform the caller of the reason; and

(3)

Maintain at least one (1) business office within Dallas County or Tarrant County for the purpose of receiving calls and dispatching and conducting business and provide a telephone number which does not require a toll call for Irving customers. Said business office shall be located within a ten-mile radius of the Civic Center Complex located at 825 West Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas.
