§ 37-50. Parking, storage or repair of taxicabs.

  • (a)

    The holder, owner or driver of a vehicle marked as a taxicab is prohibited from parking it on a public street in a residential area, or within five hundred (500) feet of a taxicab stand in a nonresidential area, except when picking up or discharging passengers, including waiting time with the taxi meter engaged.

    (b)

    The holder, owner or driver of a vehicle marked as a taxicab is prohibited from parking or storing more than two (2) taxicabs at a residence in public view.

    (c)

    No repair may be conducted on a taxicab in a residential area.
