§ 7-18. Conflict with and variance from zoning ordinance.

  • In the event of conflict between this chapter and the general zoning ordinance, this chapter shall prevail. In the event of conflict between this chapter and an SP zoning ordinance enacted pursuant to repealed zoning district regulations, Ord. No. 1144, section 52-32, or an S-P-1 or S-P-2 zoning ordinance authorizing signs on a particular piece of property, the SP, S-P-1 or S-P-2 ordinance shall prevail over this chapter; provided that such zoning ordinance does not authorize or allow a billboard or advertising structure to be erected after June 30, 1999. In case of a conflict with the landscape ordinance, overlay district, or other special zoning district, the most stringent regulations shall prevail.
