§ 52-16. Connection of new service.

A connection charge shall be assessed to any person receiving services upon application for initial commencement of service, or upon application for any transfer of service from one (1) name or address to another. Such fee is a nonrefundable fee to cover the cost of establishing service. If more than one (1) account is involved in an initial establishment or subsequent transfer, the fee shall be paid for each account involved. The fee shall be assessed as follows:

Standard fee ..... 15.00

Next day ..... 20.00

Same day ..... 30.00

Such fee(s) shall be paid by each applicant for service or transfer of service at the time of submission of such application, and prior to connection or transfer of service; or shall be added to the customer's account. A fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) for each attempt, in excess of two (2), to connect services shall be added to the customer's account.
