§ 54-26. Definition.

There shall be a division of the public health and environmental services department known as the public health services division which division is a local health unit as defined by Section 121.004 Texas Health and Safety Code which is one of several divisions and departments that are charged with the protection of the health of the city. The city manager or his designee shall be responsible for the supervision of such division.
