§ 6-25. Duty of owner or harborer of dog or other animal bitten by rabid animal or one suspected of being rabid.

  • The animal services manager shall notify in writing the owner or harborer of any animal known or suspected of being infected with rabies to have the animal examined by a licensed veterinarian within twenty-four (24) hours and confine the animal until the ten-day observation period of the suspected rabid animal is over and there is a definite diagnosis shown.
