§ 6-25. Duty of owner or harborer of dog or other animal bitten by rabid animal or one suspected of being rabid.

The animal services manager shall notify in writing the owner or harborer of any animal known or suspected of being infected with rabies to have the animal examined by a licensed veterinarian within twenty-four (24) hours and confine the animal until the ten-day observation period of the suspected rabid animal is over and there is a definite diagnosis shown.
